Fibromyalgia is a chronic conditionincluding widespread musculoskeletal pain, severe fatigue, and disturbed sleep. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons - the soft fibrous tissues in the body.
Most patients with fibromyalgia say that they ache all over. Their muscles may feel like they were pulled or overworked. Sometimes fibromyalgia symptoms include muscle twitches and burning sensations. More women than men are afflicted with fibromyalgia, and it shows up in people of all ages. A conservative estimate of its prevalence is 2% of the general population, but it may be as high as 3-5%.
Causes
The cause of this disorder is unknown. Some evidence suggests that physical or emotional trauma may play a role in development of the syndrome & also that fibromyalgia patients have abnormal pain transmission responses.
It has been suggested that sleep disturbances, which are common in fibromyalgia patients, may actually cause the condition. Another theory suggests that the disorder may be associated with changes in skeletal muscle metabolism, possibly caused by decreased blood flow, which could cause chronic fatigue and weakness.
Others have suggested that an infectious microbe, such as a virus, triggers the illness.
Pilot studies have shown a possible inherited tendency toward the disease, though evidence is very preliminary.
One of the reasons why Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia are so difficult to treat by the medical community is that there are so many different problems associated with the diseases. Here at BioTech Healing we often go with the theory of changing the acidosis state of the body to an oxygen-rich, alkaline environment. If a sufferer also has the virus that is being blamed for the problem of Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia, they also have a host of other bugs (viruses, parasites, candida). You can't have one without the other. It all comes with having an acidic system
A health screening from BioTech Healing will enable us to assess the nutritional state of the body, the toxicity levels & the hormonal imbalances all of which could contribute towards this condition. People with fibromyalgia need to have an above average diet as there is often severe malabsorption with these people. Nutrients to aid with absorption can also be given following on from the screening.
We have found, and research has also shown, that sufferers of fibromyalgia often have very acidic bodies. Cells can't develop & produce energy when their environment is acidic (hence lethargy).
In addition to consuming primarily acid-producing foods, both physical and mental stress produces acid. Many years of physical and/or emotional stress may degrade the integrity of the nucleotides, the four building blocks of DNA. This can cause the breakdown of the cells' vitality and youthfulness.
If a body is in an acidic state, it produces excess uric acid and cholesterol because of the lack of protease and lipase enzymes. The uric acid and cholesterol crystallize, and look a lot like the shard glass from the broken windshield. A high count of cholesterol crystals and uric acid crystals may cause gout, painful joints, and sore muscles. The more acidic we become, the more crystals that are formed. The longer we remain acidic, the stronger the pain becomes.
From our experince we often see a correlation between fibromyalgia & Candida Albicans which often produces symptoms very similar to this condition. This friendly bacteria becomes a parasite when the body falls into an acidic state.
