Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, or CFS, is a debilitating and complex disorder characterized by profound fatigue that is not improved by bed rest and that may be worsened by physical or mental activity. Persons with CFS most often function at a substantially lower level of activity than they were capable of before the onset of illness. In addition to these key defining characteristics, patients report various non-specific symptoms, including weakness, muscle pain, impaired memory and/or mental concentration, insomnia, and post-exertion lasting more than 24 hours. In some cases, CFS can persist for years. The cause or causes of CFS have not been specifically identified, but many experts believe that the condition is triggered when the body's natural defensive and healing systems have been weakened by other factors. If we are able to identify that underlying set of factors (which are different for each individual), we can take targeted action to resolve those issues, which in turn will reduce the impact of CFS.
Often it is a combination of factors that have caused to onset of CFS with one factor being the main cause and the others contributing to the problem. The main factors are:
Nutritional Deficiencies, Food Intolerance, Toxic and Pathogenic overload etc. ........could all be the underlying factors which are the REAL cause of your chronic fatigue problem.
They inhibit the body's natural processes, weakening its defensive and healing systems, allowing CFS to flourish.
Although this basic fact has long been recognised by healthcare professionals, the problem is that each of us has a different set of underlying factors, making diagnosis and targeted treatment difficult. Often the result is trail and error which takes along time and costs a lot of money.
How can BioTech Healing help?
Although no cure as such has been founf for this disease, from our exerience dietary changes & nutritional supplementation help strengthen the immune system, improve energy levels & ease some of the symptoms associated with CFS.
Magnesium greatly benefits CFS sufferers as magnesium is invloved in the cells' energy production. People with CFS often have enzyme deficiencies that hamper the cells' ability to convert food into energy & this mineral helps improve the enzyme function.
Co-enzyme Q10, although rarely regarded as being "deficient" is a potent anti-oxidant & helps in CFS sufferers. A combination of folic acid (vitamin B9) 5mg per day & vitamin B12 (100mcg) has also been successful in treating CFS.
